socks, mittens, blankets. i say socks though because man... they are tiny little things, and the dryer loves to eat them haha

you'll need lots of diapers and wipes. bottles, bedding, clothing, toiletries like body wash, shampoo, lotion. a bassinet and a pack-and-play aren't bad investments either.

I put diapers and wipes baby wash lotion health kit medications like Tylenol and stuff thermometer nasal aspirator wash cloths burp cloths towels

if you register at target, their registry app has a checklist of things you may need. its sorted by category and everything. its very neat!

I got diapers and wipes from both pampers and honest co, a sample of organic laundry detergent, a trial size of the Johnson and Johnson lavender bath stuff, a pacifier, a bottle, nipple shields, and I think something else but I can't remember. and then a LOT of coupons.
