What are some reasons I would have protein in my urine? I was just checking my update on my doctors online portal from my last appointment and she listed Proteinuria as a new active symptom? She said nothing to me about it.

u need to be monitored for pre eclampcia u have vision issues ringing in ears headaches those are all signs of pre e !
I have hypoglycemia and an issue with my heart. basically my body was kind of in starvation mode during my last trimester. my doctor wasn't too concerned as long as it was a drastic increase, my symptoms were managed, and baby was growing. They might have you do a 24 hour catch to rule out preE but my blood pressure stayed low until the day before I had him.

I had protein in my urine quite frequently in my first pregnancy due to muscle breakdown

Could be the early signs of Preeclampsia also. I didn't get diagnosed until my 7th month. Then I Had my son at 34weeks cause of it. I would see your doctor again.
@siababy, see, I have all of those except high blood pressure and swelling...blurry vision, dizziness, and headaches are caused by the eye condition I have right now which was caused by my pregnancy. 😑
Signs of preeclampsia would be high blood pressure, blurry vision, dizziness, swelling, bad headaches. I Had all of the symptoms except I didn't swell

@jnh199243, what kind of infection? I have shingles and a bacterial infection in my ear, could that effect it? My blood pressure has been normal I don't know the other symptoms of preeclampsia
you should ask to your doctor. could be infection. also some women who end up with preeclampsia have protein
@cocored55, they wondered if I could have pre-eclampsia as well but I haven't had protein in my urine except for this one time I posted about it, my blood pressure has been great, and no swelling...so they're just going to keep an eye on me :)
