I feel bad that my baby boy won't latch at all... I really want to breastfeed but he just won't latch not even with a nipple shield :/ I pump milk for him but it takes a whole day to pump 1 full 4 ounce bottle for him so I have no choice but to formula feed and it makes me feel worse when mom's bash formula feeding 😕
I've seen one already and we got the baby to latch right there but when we got home and it was time for another feeding, he started screaming when we tried @bianca_rose
I would see a lactation consultant before giving up, you'd be surprised what they can help you with
Np. I had inverted nipples when I first started breastfeeding. I would pump for about a minute to stimulate them and then latch baby. I know this isn't the problem just wanted to let you know so you can stay away from the annoying nipple shield
only my left boob has an inverted nipple so we use a nipple shield for it @viciouslygorgeous
and he knows how, we breastfed the first 2 days at the hospital perfectly fine but I'm gonna keep trying skin to skin thanks! @junesmommy15
Do you think it's because he doesn't know how or the flow? Just keep doing skin to skin. It took my son two weeks before he latched on himself during skin to skin. He's been breastfed ever since and now is weaning himself at 10 months😥.
your milk supply is down. I had that problem with my oldest. I kept trying and was even squeezing some on his tongue . He eventually latched on. Do you have inverted nipples? That can also be a problem with latching
He's 2 weeks old and gets extremely frustrated and angry when we try to get him to latch @junesmommy15
and thank you 😊 @neni0424
thank you 😊 @bianca_rose all I can do is keep trying lol
