I'm 39 weeks pregnant with my first. My fiancé works outta town 2.5 hours away. My OB and I semi discussed induction if our little girl isn't here by my appointment on the 18th. I'm leaning more towards being induced as a for sure way to let my fiancé be here for the birth of our first baby. I've been dilated to a 2 since Monday. Was just wondering how some inductions worked out? Did you end up having to have a c section? How long were you in labor before baby was here?
I was induced 3 times. 1st time with cervical gel (now they do the pill), membranes ruptured, pitocin, and epidural (7:00 am when everything started delivered him at 4:46 pm and went home 72 hours later). 2nd one I had the cervical pill and membranes ruptured and 1 dose of staidol (7:30 am to 12:31 pm, took her home the next morning). 3rd time, cervical pill, ruptured membranes, pitocin, staidol, and epidural. started 7 am delivered 5:15 pm, he was sent to nicu because he had a slight temperature but otherwise healthy boy, brought him home 10 days later (finished antibiotic course)
after my contractions stopped around 7am, i got induced...and my son was born vaginally at 2:30pm.
I was induced with pitocin at 40 wks, got there at 8 pm and had her vaginally at 9:36 the next morning 😁
water broke when i was 1cm they started pitocin and the next day i was completely dialated.. baby got stuck ended up in emergency section.. apparently im too small for baby to fit.
