Any Mothers Out There That Is Breastfeeding & Giving Baby Formula??? My Original Plan Was Not To…

I didn't want to breastfeed. but when baby came early I pumped and formula fed. was able to pump for 3 weeks before my milk dried up. now we exclusively formula feed. downside is the iron in it makes her constipated so we about to try our 3rd diffrent kind. Enfamil reguline. we mostly stayed on enfamil brands. don't feel guilty. I had a pediatrician give me crap cause I didn't breastfeed from my boobs. I was happy I was able to give baby the good stuff for 3 weeks

I did both.. At first.. But my milk didn't really come in til 3-4 days later so I wasn't feeding my baby nearly enough at all the first 3days (& didn't know), so I felt REALLY bad so I gave her supplement Similac while also pumping. I soon stopped becuz I wasn't pumping enough & give her Enfamil Newborn now, much better because I know she's eating enough & can see it! As long as your baby is getting fed, who cares how it's done!

If you end up choosing formula don't let anyone make you feel bad. that's not right for others to push their beliefs on ppl! I never even tried breastfeeding my first born and it was for no other reason than I just didn't want to! he's been very healthy his whole almost 18 years now. good luck with whatever you choose to do!! :)

@babybluntsmommy, mines didn't either mines came in about a couple of days ago, but then I started giving her breast milk and Similac because she fusses a lot at night and I don't have a pump yet, and she doesn't like sucking on my nipple so it's stressful another question I'd there a difference between enfamil & similac besides the names lol & Thank You For The Advice, I Really Appreciate it. @michellevaldez4750 I wish people would respect other people's wishes, they just throw it in your face like basically saying if you don't breast feed this can happen to you, it's not fair @michellevaldez4750 thank you so much for the advice I really appreciate you both.

I really wish people would respect other peoples choices and opinions also but unfortunately that's probably never going to happen so you just got to let it go in one ear and right out the other@belizeanbeautyy

@belizeanbeautyy, there is no difference.. Just whichever you prefer that's what someone told me. And no problem at all, I got a lot for not sticking w/BF but I couldn't just guess that my baby was eating., I had to know, hopefully everything goes well for you & baby ☺️
