I am need to get a hospital bag ready and I am not sure what all I need to put in it. What items did you guys put in your hospital bags?
The rooms are actually good size at the hospital i will be delivering at but i dont plan on packing alot. we only live 15 mins from the hospital so my husband can always come home to get something if need be and bring stuff home early.
Try to pack light cuz the rooms aren't super big most times and you're gonna have to take everything home again plus a baby and any gifts you get while there! The hospital has a lot of the stuff you'll need anyway. use theirs while you can!
thanks for all the ideas. if i bring food it will be for my husband to snack on. I have lost my appetite the last few days.
I'd say everything on @domena84 list besides the food some hospitals have policy's about bringing your on food and odds are you wont be able to eat them anyways while you're in labor
Chargers, comfy clothes, baby clothes, baby blanket for coming home, slippers/socks, favorite drinks/snacks, electronic devices (kindle etc)...
pajamas or sweats, loose fitting shirts, shampoo, conditioner, underwear, extra pads, in my case I was an emergency c section so my stay was 4 days versus the 2-3 for vaginal deliveries. but if you have a breast pump bring that. have a good few outfits for the baby, just incase they poop or pee throigh a diaper bc the hospital doesn't provide much. extra pacis if you don't like the soothie paci they provide, tooth brush, toothpaste, and your phone charger. that's all I brought. along with the baby's diaper bag. but I ended up not needing his stuff bc he ended up being a NICU patient. for I didn't get to have him in the room with me I had to go to him once I was off iv's and he stayed 3 days after I was discharged from the hospital
