***opinions please*** just had my baby saturday. is it ok to give him pacifier while I'm breastfeeding?

My consultant said its good to wait for six weeks.

It's ok, but it's important to let your baby nurse and comfort nurse when you have a newborn. If you basically become a human pacifier it will help more with bonding and milk supply. I would say yes you can use a pacifier but maybe wait on it for a couple weeks.

My son took bottle, pacifier, and breast, didnt have a problem with none of them. Every baby is different.

Id call your lactation consultant. Or the one available at the hospital you gave birth at. They would help with certain and up to date ideas and suggestions

I gave my son a paci, and he got a bottle too. I had no problems with him nursing while giving him those things
