@mrsschmalz, I agree!!! We all in this family have been speaking of this. Her doctors finally told her she goes to a pain management specialist and those people don't mess around. Thank god! After the surgery they only gave her 40 pain killers and made it clear to her that it WILL NOT be refilled. She can't take normal over the counter pills. They do nothing for her. Her stupid previous doctor prescribed her all kinds of bs over small complaints, which is where this all started. Her pains are not equal. She looked at me the other day, fine and dandy and bam! 2 seconds later she's moaning in pain telling me it's a 9!!! My ass your at a 9! If that's a 9 you never been in pain. It's obvious.

My boyfriends dad is a prescription pill addict. He legitimately goes to a different hospital at least 4 times a week (not exaggerating) complaining of various different ailments so he can get pain medicine. He is prescribed 180 Vicodin per month and goes through them in about a weeks time. Lately his thing is going to different dentists complaining of tooth aches so they will give him drugs. What a sad life to live. Especially because he will NEVER see this baby, his first grandchild, because of this problem that he refuses to admit that he has. I'm sorry girl, it's a hard thing to watch. Just don't enable her :)

@soontobemomof4 it's ridiculous, I know how you feel. I'm definitely not ever going to leave my baby with him. We have made it CRYSTAL clear to him that he will never see our baby, let alone ever ever be alone with him. His wife (my bf's step mom) is useless as hell too. She is the biggest enabler. She told my bf one time that she wanted to leave his dad because of the pill issue but she is the one that has to sign off whenever he gets prescribed a narcotic, and she always just signs off! We hate them both, they are honestly just both so useless. We found out that his dad even got prescribed suboxone but is STILL taking pills on top of the suboxone. It's disgusting. What's crazy is his dad got gastric bypass back in 2001, couldn't stop eating like a horse so it fucked up the staples and because of that he's had to be on "pain management" but we don't believe he is really in pain anymore as he's gotten about 20 corrective surgeries. We think he is just crying pain just to get pills. I've never met such a horrible addict before, it's really sad and disturbing. My bf deserves to have a father. Not this man. 😞

@emkasting, yep! Even before the surgery it's been over a year, she's been receiving some type of pain meds. She'd call her one doc and bitch about some pains and bam! The doc would call in some narcotic for her without even seeing her, the doc would also call in and allow refills that would be weeks before their due, beacause she would take a higher dosage claiming it was cause it wasn't working. She'd do it with every pill till her doc would give her a stronger pill.
