I've posted this question once before but would still like to hear opinions and experiences.. my son is 12 weeks old today. I'm considering feeding him baby food. I know you normally start around 6 months, but he's showing so much interest in my food when I eat-stares me down every single bite, opens his mouth when I put the fork up to his mouth like he wants to eat, is magically hungry after eating only 2 hours before when I eat.. he is currently on soy formula for a lactose intolerance so obviously I would like to get him off that as soon as possible. would just like to hear some opinions, positive or negative :) thanks in advance! (obviously I will be checking with his doctor, I just like to hear the personal experiences)
consult your pediatrician we are not doctors and I'm not saying your doctor knows best because Doctor's practice medicine it is not a science and honestly you know best for your child no one else can make that decision for you
You should wait because something could happen to his gut. Also even if you did start solids he should still be getting most of his nutrients from his formula. And it'll be that way until he's a year old
your baby's stomach is not ready to handle solids. food before 1 is just for fun. they only need milk right now. wait until 6 months to start food
I wouldn't do solids this young, your baby will always show interest in what you're doing, they love to watch you! The best thing for them at this age is breastmilk or formula. This young there is the possibility that they can choke on the food this young (yes I know it's puréed, but it's still a whole different texture for them to get used to). I would wait until at least 4 months, and start with cereal then
I've also read not to put cereal in your baby's bottle because it is a choking hazard, and cereal is just a filler and has no actual nutritional value. Not bashing anyone but I've read several articles about that! Just because other women's children have turned out okay doesn't always mean yours will...kind of like the women who smoke cigarettes while pregnant and then when their babies have no birth defects assume it's completely safe.
I've been told absolutely not to do any solids before 4-6 months unless otherwise told by your doctor, because your baby's stomach may not be able to properly digest it.
Every child is different and I didn't not always follow doctors recommendations they do not always know what is best . All my kids stated with rice cereals at 3 months and we went from there . Just make sure you feed one food type for a week in case your baby has an allergic reaction you will know what food it is .
in my opinion that's a little young and when you do start babies on food you shouldn't cut out the formula. they still need the nutrients in it and at 12 weeks your baby should be drinking formula until about 1 year old. Babies belly's at that age only need breast milk or formula. the earliest they say to start is around 4 months old and that's cereal and such. maybe up the intake on formula.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.
