midwife, that's what I have. she takes so much time with me. she's amazing.
I had an OB the first time and he ended up being out of town come time to be induced. the OB that delivered my first ended up giving me a third degree episiotomy and I wasn't exactly happy about that. will midwives induce you if you go over your due date?
I want a midwife but can not afford it. my insurance won't cover any in Portland and I can't drive up to Olympia all the time.
I chose midwives! They take more of "natural" approach then some some obs might, but then again I'm in Oregon and everything's a little crunchy. I'm not a naturalist, was induced, had and epidural etc and they were very supportive of my choices. Usually with midwives they try and rotate them through the out your apts because you don't know who will be there on delivery day. I was always afraid if I had an ob they'd be out of the country when I delivered and id get some random!
That being said, some midwives suck. Look until you find a good one 💜
