I was so worried, but the more I thought about it, the more I accepted it. If you ARE diagnosed with gestational diabetes, it's okay! It's completely controllable. Don't freak out ladies. It's all gonna be okay regardless. ☺️

And it isn't anyone's fault for having GD, genetics is a much bigger player :)

EXACTLY! Not anyone's fault at all. It usually starts in the placenta and there isn't much to do to "prevent" it. @mommameaghann

I was diagnosed with GD in my first pregnancy, but now they realized it is most likely An adult onset T1, which is becoming more common and research is showing pregnancy to be a trigger of the autoimmune response of type 1

Unfortunately neither do many OBs, I hope the education gets out there sooner rather than later!!!
