Quick question. Coworkers are doing a small shower here at work, and then MIL is doing a diaper shower later on. I'm not super close to them here, but close enough that we get invited to big things like showers, kids birthdays, etc. Since they're already doing something here, should I invite them, or would that come off as asking them for double gifts? Thanks in advance!

Oohh that's a good question. I have no clue but I'll take a stab at it. If you feel like you should invite them I would make a general announcement after the in office baby shower during your thank you speech. Something like: thank you all for the gifts etc blah blah blah. My mother in law is hosting a baby shower also and of course everyone here is invited. The invite is for you all to enjoy yourself, play some games and eat food. There is no need to bring me a gift because you all showed your love today. Or you cannot invite them, they may assume they won't get invited since they hosted you one

I wouldn't ask the coworker to the second shower. I would leave it as is.
