Ok, so I did both. I'll share the pros and cons of both :) With my first son, he was too small to latch on and I lost my milk before he was able to. The pros of bottle feeding are that you can let others help with the food when you are gone or need a break. Also, you're able to see exactly how much the baby is eating. The cons are that you need to buy expensive formula, it's known to he the less healthy option, you have to warm it, cleaning bottles and their poop smells worse lol! But again, the breaks are nice lol! The pros of breastfeeding is mother/baby bonding like no other, the milk is always the perfect temperature, higher in nutrients and vitamins, it's free, no bottles to clean unless you are pumping. Cons. Nobody can feed your little one again unless you are pumping. Your boobs tend to get really sore and painful, sore nipples, more frequent feedings, and you can get mastitis. I speak from experience when I say mastitis is awful and hurts like the dickens! You can lose weight breastfeeding also by the way! If you plan on working, and want to breastfeed, get on a pumping schedule. You need to keep up with the schedule if you want to continue making enough milk for nursing and pumping! Hope I helped! I am planning on breastfeeding again even though it's tough work. I just can't help but enjoy the bonding time I had! Nursed for almost 2 years!

This is my first pregnancy and I've been stressing the whole time about this! I love the benefits for breastfeeding but will have very limited time to pump while at work 3 days a week. Also it is difficult because I come from a family who has always formula fed but my husband cones from a nursing family. I am so unfamiliar with it but would feel guilty if I didn't at least try it.

if you can pump go for it. I know it isn't the easiest.
