Okay ladies, I have another "eye roller" of a question so try and bare with me. I know it's probably super ridiculous, but I'm just curious. So my first pregnancy I was induced, my second, they stripped my membranes and I went into labor later on that night. Well both times my doctor had to break my water. So I guess my question is this: is your water breaking a completely random thing or is there something you can do closer to your due date to encourage it to break itself? I would like to experience it this time if at ALL possible. TIA 😊
I think after an hour I had to get meds because I wasn't dilating. Birth is so crazy lol @mommyagain
@london1010, it aaaaall came out by the time I went to the hospital they had to put some water substitute in there until she was born
I had lots of sex, did lots of walking, and squats. Lol I guess it is completely random. I think the statistic is like only 10% of womens water breaks naturally. I just really wanna experience it. So here's to hoping!! Lol.
I actually thought I peed myself so I took a shower and ate breakfast before I realized it was still little gushes here and there 😂 @mommyagain
Well I was 100% effaced with both boys like 37 weeks and did deliver till week 39 but I figured that's the closest you'd get to having it break naturally. Lol so I was just curious.
just a random thing. my first had to be broken and my second I thought would be broken but it happened on its own. it feels so different when it happens on its own than when its done by the doctor.
I was induced with my first and had a c section with my second, but I'm guessing there isn't anything you can do to help break your water? You can have sex and if your husband cums it could ripen your cervix a bit just like the pill they use during the induction process, buuuut seeing as I've never been in natural labor I wouldn't know the answer to your question either. Lol.
@london1010, Yeah it really is!
