I had the iud before we got pregnant and got it removed before trying. it's uncomfortable to get in but not bad. can't tell it's in there. I really liked it versus the pill. I was on depo for a long time but it stopped working and had weight gain on it (we kept switching bc because I was getting 4 periods a month)

i had it for like 8 months.. before the nuva ring i had the patch but it would come off in the shower.. and nope i dont think it would get lost.. lol the only weird thing is that you have to reach up with your fingers for it.. haha sorry probably tmi.. @oliviasmama1211

my sister said the depo made her gain weight, but she's so skinny so I couldn't tell where I'm more heavier than her, and it made me go almost down to my pre pregnancy weight(140, I was abt 130) and when I switched to IUD I went up to 170 and I wasn't even eating more or anything. I have stayed at 170 even after my last pregnancy and hope it has the same effect this time.

@kelseys, really?! That's the reason why I want off the pill. My periods since I've had my daughter have been brutallllllll. I heard the depo shot makes you gain weight?! But everyone is different! I just don't want to get pregnant any time soon. So whatever will prevent that is good in my book😄

I had it after my first son I loved it never had a period or any issues everyone's body is different there's one u can put in ur arm as well

I think its the worst! I had it taken out after 6months. it caused cramping so bad I felt them in my thighs, bled heavier, and made me gain so much weight. I had the depo shot before that, and I lost all my weight from pregnancy, and no side effects, just a little more emotional lol and I plan on getting the depo shot again after this baby
