I've smoked weed throughout my pregnancy to help me have a appetite and hold food down, my son is healthy and there hasn't been any concerns, either . if I stop the end of this month, do you think it will be out of my system by the time he comes, even if he's early ? I'm due the 3rd of July.

if you drink lots of fluids like water weed doesn't stay in your system more than a week. so you will be good

@kenitra, because it's still illegal to smoke in my state and don't want them to keep my baby when I take a couple puffsto be able to give my son nutrients, even my midwife said its better to smoke then the meds she prescribed.

she swears up and down they can't take him away because of weed, but ive heard many moms stories about losing their kids over weed

I smoked two weeks before having my son (he was 2 weeks early) and I had no problems at all. I'm pretty sure they only test the baby if you have a history of hard drug abuse but im not sure

How often are you smoking? That will make it difference in how long it takes to go out of your system. Sometimes drug testing is run when your blood or urine is taken at the OB and you might not be told.

@kenitra, its a mutual agreement with me and my nurse that she doesn't drug test me, she did once for proof I don't do any other drugs but other than that she does t drug test me.

virginia, which is one of the more stubborn states. I'm sure you will be fine. I know at least 10 different people who smoked while pregnant and none of them had a problem. just quit about a month before just in case. your body is working so much it probably won't even take long to clean your system out

I'm just trying to make sure I eat so my son is healthy. I don't smoke to get high, I don't sit at home and blaze blunts after blunts. if I didn't smoke I would have lost my son because im anorexic.so please don't bash me for being a human and a mom trying to get food inside of me so he's fed

It doesn't matter if you stop. The weed or any other drug stays in the baby's meconium (the babies first bowel movements) which they test after its born.
