my doctor said not to worry about it unless you have traveled within the last year or so... and it doesn't effect every baby that's born to a mother that has the zika virus, its like less than 1%.
the cases in the US are from people travelling or having sex with people who travelled. just be careful about your partners and don't travel to anywhere with an active outbreak. the mosquitoes who carry it are not in the US so it's not as pressing of an issue as it seems. yes it's a cause for some concern, but it's very avoidable. talk to your OB too. I mentioned it a while back when it first started to be talked about and she went over it in detail with me.
