Have you had migraines postpartum? I never used to get them but now I do. Anyone else?
Also no sugars. Not even natural sweeteners except for the occasional stevia in my lemon water.
I went low carb. No grains, no beans, only quality fats/meats, and a lot of vegetables. I had chronic head pain until I made those changes. After 6 months of eating that way I was able to add some gluten free grains and some beans back in my diet but still don't eat them daily.
@dawnsurvivor, @jennatess what kind of changes did you make specifically? I'm trying lower sodium and no caffeine
@sanjosefoodblog, maybe try changing up your diet. Eating less dairy, or less meat. Veggies and fruit and lots of water for a week and I bet you'll have amazing energy and feel better. It's amazing how diet can mess with us.
@jennatess, my first one was 5 months postpartum and second one was 10 months postpartum. My doctor said its unrelated to my birth control or anything from the birth (also a c section) because it was so long after. It did happen on days after I got very little sleep and was dehydrated. Maybe it's that. I feel like my body is just weaker than it used to be about everything
Yep! How old is your little one? My headaches started when she was a few weeks old. I've never been prone to migraines, but for like a week they were terrible! They got so bad I called my doctor / nurses line, and they told me it could be a reaction from any of he medications I was on (I had a c-section.), or it could be - and probably was - lack of sleep. They told me to wait it out for another week, drink lots of water, and sleep as much as I could. They told me to call back or schedule an appointment if they continued, but, luckily, they stopped shortly after.
@sanjosefoodblog, . I'm a vegetarian, and so I already don't eat animal meat of any kind. But, I did what you're doing. I cut out caffeine, and sugars unless it was natural sugars in fruit.
