quick question. I am 33 weeks pregnant, and I would like to be induced. how early with the doctor can I schedule it? I know I have to wait at least 38 weeks, said from my doctor, but I mean..could I choose the day at 33 weeks, or when I'm 37 weeks just say "hey can I have the baby next Tuesday?" the reason I would like to be induced is because I live 45 minutes from the hospital, I'm working up to the day I deliver so I don't want to go into labor at work, and my family lives 4 hours away.
I wouldn't even think about it until after 38 weeks. most places can't induce you unless you're 39 other wise ins can refuse to pay. living that far from the hospital isn't that uncommon. I live an hour from mine. and just because u get induced doesn't mean family will be able to come regardless of distance. alot of people can't take off work like that. but it's just a thought. it's better to let the baby come on its own.
usually they have you wait and give you days and times to set up and call hospital ...you can think of a day but they won't ask till your further along.
He already said that I can schedule it. I just didn't know if I could go ahead and plan it now or if I have to wait
exactly as @caydensmommy said. induction isn't just for when you want it, some doctors will do it, but its supposed to only be for overdue and complications.
Most doctors won't induce you unless you go over your due date or if you have complications.
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
seems like I've seen a lot of women have gotten or are getting induced solely because they are uncomfortable?? Like around 38 weeks...I didn't know doctors would even do that without a medical reason? I know everyone handles pregnancy differently and for some it can be pure hell...but here I am overdue and I still don't want to be induced even with how insanely uncomfortable I am. I personally feel like that's kind of selfish...of course if there is a real reason then absolutely do it for the he...
Ladies what was your work schedule like while pregnant? I work 40 hours a week & have only 2 days off a week . Should I cut my hours back ?
Can you switch doctors at 33 weeks ???

Tinley's legs and her little monkey have been like this for a few weeks now. I have tried everything to get it to go away but nothing is working. The doctors said it's from teething. And it doesn't seem to hurt her.
I wish it would get better.
My midwife said they don't do social inductions. I was so upset I wanted her on a special day for my family! Good luck girl
