It had its pros and cons but my grand parents raised me until about 8 because my mom was really young when she had me. It ended up being a miracle she did have me because she was unable to have anymore after multiple miscarriages and tubal pregnancies etc...
I had my uncle and aunt who are only a few years older than me 6 and 7 years to be exact and my cousin was living with them and me and her were really close
