This may sound really stupid but what does breastfeeding feel like. Is it painful ?
@henrysmommy I feel like a total idiot for asking and I'm sure I'll learn once I get further in the book I just got but what does "let-down" mean?
Your nipples may feel a little sore in the first couple of weeks while your nipples adjust to getting sucked on 24/7 but after that it's just a gentle tugging. Sometimes you don't feel anything at all you get used to it.
1st time for me was a week of soreness but everyone is different.
yeah I've never had pain unless I couldn't get to a pump or express myself and they got full but even that wasn't really painful... everyone is different. and you'll need the lubricant stuff to keep your nipples from cracking that would be painful.
it honestly only hurt me until my milk came in which was 4 days (I had a c-section so mine was delayed)
I'm a ftm so everything ik is from books. lol. so ik theoretically it shouldnt hurt if latch is correct but i just wanted some real perspectives. Thanks ladies @sarahdrew @henrysmommy @0816mommy @momma003 about how long is a "little while"? lol
it dose hurt for a little while then the soreness gose away& it doesn't feel like anything.
I never had any pain, my son latched very good from day 1.
I had some cream to relieve the rawness, which helped a lot. The skin gets irritated after a while. Other than that, the let-down is pretty painful, but it just lasts for like a second or two.
it hurts at first but once you know your baby is latched correctly it doesn't hurt at all,I honestly don't feel anything anymore
It's fine! It's when the baby starts sucking, the veins "let the milk down" to the nipple. It feels like someone is squeezing your boobs as hard as they possibly can. But it only lasts 2-3 seconds!
