if you have gestational diabetes do they induce early like is there a chance of something going wrong like with preeclampsia or no?
@carsonsmommy2k16 lol yes ask her! I don't think its a big deal because they normally catch if because high blood pressure will make you feel weird wouldn't hurt to ask:) my doctor never told me so i need to ask my new one lol
I already know I have protein in my urine but she isn't go concerned because iv always had a little bit so I guess I should probably figure this out on Wednesday lol
@carsonsmommy2k16 girl you need to ask him i know Thursday I plan on asking mine about GD and preeclampsia in case I develope them and such the thought scares me
good question I am a diabetic pre pregnancy.. my doctor had not discussed any of that with me -_- I'm almost 24 weeks lol wth
I have gestational diabetes and yes they're inducing early they normally induce at 39 weeks because the last week your body goes crazy with sugar
I had it and it was scary at first but really wasn't bad. I had to cut out sweets and just did portion control on breads and pasta. I controlled it pretty well. I was induced at 39 wks and had a 8lb 11oz baby but she's healthy
you should be fine and pass the one hour test. So don't worry if you don't already have it. 😊
@naomilynn21 oh goodness, I'm glad you told me its manageable because I get tested Thursday and I'm terrified but if it's easy to deal with then that's oky
@ella1007 okay that's what I thought i get tested Thursday and the thought of maybe having it scares me😕
@omaleonmommy they're inducing at 39 weeks for me already but they haven't tested for GD yet which scares me:/
I hope not. I'll be praying for you. My mom and her side of the family has hypertension as well. I've escaped that but picked up the type 2 diabetes from my dads side. I beat it but thanks to pregnancy I have gestational, so it's back and I'm dealing with that. It is manageable. My doctor saw me once a week after my test came back positive to check my glucose readings and adjust my medication. So I believe the doctors will monitor you as close as they need to. My doctor told me what to look out for and to call if those things happen. Luckily things have been going smoothly so I'm back on track with my two week appointments.
Stay positive!!!! You might not have high blood sugar!!! :) Dont stress yourself out!! :p
I have diabetes but I had it before my baby to. My doctor said he's not gonna let me go past 38 weeks, he's says its just precaution, and that he's not gonna leave the baby in longer than he has to. If you're numbers are well controlled you could probably go past 38 weeks but a lot of time you're medical induced for it
They induce early a lot with GD because if your sugar levels are not regular the baby gets a lot more sugar intake and a lot of times the baby gets bigger than normal.
I have gestational diabetes and my doctor told me they will only induce me if I can't control my blood sugars with diet and need to be put on insulin. they say when you can't control the diabetes the babies tend to be bigger than women who carry babies and dont have diabetes. I've been able to control my sugars just by switching to a low carb diet and monitor my sugars though. its not too hard. its rough because you can't always indulge in your cravings which is hard while pregnant but definitely manageable. 😊
@cloud325 thank you so much, I get tested Thursday and I'm freaking out because with my luck I'll have it. I'm not to big on sugars but the thought of diabetes scares me
@haniyyah90 I know they induce with preeclampsia that's why I wanted to know if they're as careful with diabetes because they can be dangerous. My dad has hypertension so with my luck I'll end up with GD and preeclampsia
@twinscomingsoon I just know diabetes is dangerous, so I may have to ask... I'm being tested Thursday and with my luck I'll have it so I'm trying to prepare
Everything you eat the baby is eating! Il let you know what they say exactly to eat and what high blood sugar can do to harm you and your baby tomorrow!!
It does affect the baby! but hopefully it doesn't affect our babies :p Just make sure you try and keep your blood sugar levels down by just eating less sugar and Fattening foods!
Preeclampsia is a possibility. My doctor told me she would only induce me if she needs to. If I do what I'm supposed to now then I should be fine and everything should go smoothly for the most part.
I don't think so. Since it's just a sugar thing I don't think it affects the baby just the momma. But I could be wrong.
Great question! I have diabetes from being pregnant and I have my first nutritionist appointment tomorrow if they give me any info il let you know!! :)

How do you like your steak?

Does this look like a dog? If so, what kind? Someone posted it on a lost dog Facebook page and said that she is very skinny and looks like she's been on her own for a while. She kind of looks like a baby fox or coyote to me.
AF due 29th, anyone else?
Hi all AF is due 29th Sept for me feels like forever away. Has anyone tested yet or when do you plan on testing x
Waiting....
For Cmitt, Non, Neena and Pariss’s babies to come like ⏰?....
As long as your baby isn't too big they will keep her in. My doctor wanted to induce me at 39 1/2 weeks bc he was measuring 8.15 at 38 weeks and she didn't think I would be able to push him out but he ended up coming earlier and weighed 9 pounds even. And it was actually easy pushing him out 😊
