ohh I see what you're saying. keep hands cleaned, disinfect.... I just really didn't want to get sick with it lol, I don't have money for the hospital stays it would cause me otherwise. no one else in my family has the shot, but they work with the general public and know they need to work extra hard to be clean after certain people come in LOL!

@kattastrophe, yeah I got it too but there's ppl shutting out family members because of it. it's not right. stay clean. that's it. keep sick ppl away. it's not hard to try to prevent things without shots that just came out

my friend in high school got it and coughed so hard he had fractures on 3 of his ribs, so the thought of my tiny baby having it scared me enough to get the shot. my doctors would have been fine if I said no, but I wasn't turning it down!!! plus, even if I get a tiny cold, I can't breathe and end up in the hospital cause of my asthma, I can't imagine what would happen to me if I had pertussis lol.

I mean I was shocked when I read it came out in 2005 and their now making it a big deal. what about everyone born before 2005? I mean I'm fine lol I was born in 93

It's the propaganda surrounding it, dr's pushing it because of that and has everyone scared. It's ridiculous but to each their own

Yeah my cousin took.it to heart her sons are 13 years apart and with the 2nd if you didn't get the tdap shot.you couldn't hold him. yes I mean in public I kept his car seat covered and no random ppl were to get close to him but I wouldn't keep family away and washing your hands makes a huge difference I still do before I take him.out his playpen or something I wash my hands or use sanitizer cause I got into the habbit.after he was born most ppl just blow stuff out of proportion

And I've never been vaccinated. That was my first vaccine ever and I got it when I had my son.

I just think it's because people can carry the whooping cough virus without knowing. I got it and didn't force anyone else to.

@wyatts_mommy_0106, exactly! my hubby didn't get it either and they are just fine. some ppl take it too far as if one touch from someone without the shot is fatal. and look your baby if fine even after being a preemie and more at risk for things. the little things like washing hands make a huge difference.

I got.it cause the same reason you did cause the hospital said I had to no one else got it in my family and my husband didn't get it. either everyone was to wash their hands or use the huge bottle.of sanitizer I bought for the house and no sick ppl cause my son was a preemie but other than that everyone came and seen him and held him if they wanted too most ppl didn't cause he was tiny and they was scared they'd break him lol.
