long story short I am 12 week's with baby number 2. my daughter is 5 months old. I've had issues with bleeding and almost miscarrying already. she is sooooooo rough with me. and loves to constantly kick my stomach. I've tried telling her no. being firm. trying to get her to understand she needs to be gentle. earlier I swatted her leg cause her hands doesn't do any good. neither does popping her butt. she thinks it's funny. it broke my heart hearing her cry. do you think 5 months is too young to start popping her for doing wrong? I am trying to get her to be gentle before the baby gets here.
no its not too early. you arent doing it to hurt her, you're doing it to teach her that she cant keep doing that wothout having consequences. if you dont dicipline her she will think its ok to kick you.
that's what I am trying to do but it literally breaks my heart hearing her cry like that. my husband says I shouldn't do it this early. he's actually mad at me for doing it.
My opinion on it is yes she's to young. My little one is 10 months and just starting to understand the word no. My MIL tried to pop my oldest when he was 5-6 months I lost my temper with her.
She understands no that's the thing. she just thinks what she is doing is funny and keeps doing it. I have to get her to be gentle before I get too much farther along. how else am I suppose to teach her she can't keep kicking me in my stomach and being rough
10 mins ago my 10 month old was jumping on my stomach. I'm 14 weeks. Your baby can handle the kicks the 5 month old is giving out. The baby is protected by layers of fat and the sac it's in.
if I wasn't already bleeding and passing clots and stuff it wouldn't bother me so much they specifically told me not to let her do it to break her of the habit now. I really hated having to pop her but it honestly wasn't any harder than I burp her I think it just scared her

and it could lead to you or the baby getting hurt later on. just make sure she feels loved even after it.
