What's something you absolutely refuse to bend about when it comes to your kids and how you raise them (or plan to raise them once their born).....
@kala_elise, sounds like she's miserable
@leenasunshine24, and it's only gonna get worse once she has her new baby. I already know!
oh no that's not cool @kala_elise
@leenasunshine24, @babes87101116 Him and I are cool when he's not around his girlfriend, but he's completely different around her... and now she's pregnant smfh... And, she's mean to my kids (mainly my son). my son hates her!
@kala_elise, yeah my ex lets them do whatever they want too, but they're only 4 and 6, so it's stuff like not take a bath or not brush hair in the morning or go to school on time 😑
.@kala_elise, see he need to work with you he let her get away with what ever she wants that's why she act like that do what you have to do girl you the momma what ever you say goes
the biggest problem I'm having right now is with my youngest daughter. she'll be 9 next month. and, since she's birth, she's been a "fit thrower", and very dramatic. right now, her attitude just sucks. so I turned her cell phone completely off because I don't reward bad behavior! she downloaded snap chat after I told her she wasn't allowed to have it... and, it's hard because I run my household a certain way, I have certain rules, I don't cave into temper tantrums, and (I jokingly say) I don't negotiate with terrorists!!! but, the kids know what's up at my house, then they go to their dad's house and him (and his girlfriend) don't implement the same rules! I always tell him that we need to work together and be on the same page, but he's so damn immature coz he always feels like he's right about everything! 😧😧😧 @leenasunshine24 @babes87101116 @mrshamilton830
@kala_elise, I agree with you all the way
also, I've realized that the punishment has to match the offense. cell phone and electronics being taken away is good if they get in trouble for not taking care of their belongings, not keeping them charged. a huge rule with us is their cell phones always have to be charged and they have to answer the phone no matter what (unless they're at school). the punishment should match the offense. if they don't do their homework, make them do extra credit... If they don't clean up their toys, take all their toys away until they earn them back. next time around, throw them away or donate them..... it's obviously up to the parents...
@kala_elise, I absolutely agree most parents don't discipline there kids that's why they be wild and up in jail or killed when all that could've been prevented at an early age @kala_elise
@leenasunshine24, yeah, if my kids are doing something to put their lives or their sibling's lives in danger, then they're getting a whooping! orrr, if they really pushing the limits, trying to test me and need to be brought back to reality, then a whooping is sometimes necessary! but, on a regular basis, I'll just let them know how disappointed that I am in their behavior and how I know that they know better! when you talk to a kid on their level, they usually understand what you're point is, and you get better results that way (from my experience raising my 4 kids)...
yea take away cellphones video games no you can't get your hair or nails done I will hurt some feelings I don't like whooping kids but I'm not a pushover I'm not soft on my kids well when I have kids @kala_elise
@babes87101116, @mrshamilton830 those are both so important! it's so many parents who don't enforce the "keep a child in a child's place"... meaning, always respect adults, don't interrupt (unless it's important and they say "excuse me")...
hitting- I don't spank my kids because, when I used to, all it taught was them to hit each other. I learned that you get far greater results from letting them know that you're disappointed in their behavior (kinda gotta hurt their feelings)
no whooping them no smart mouth and when I tell you to do something do it no acting out in public I dont trust my kid to stay the night at other people house because people have people running in an out the house drugs you know crazy stuff I don't know who touching or harming my kids @kala_elise my dad didn't allow me to stay the night over my house he allowed me to have company tho
No hitting (me or them), screaming, or back talking
Do you really think the way you are raised
Has no impact on when and how you decide to have sex? I read a comment on another thread that really rubbed me the wrong way. Something about how teens have sex and there's just no stopping it no matter how you raise them.
Have you ever
Been approached by someone asking for money in a parking lot? What do you say to them?

The saying that each child is different is very true. Knowing your child's personality will be a sanity saver as you raise them, trust us.
Raise your hand if you also have a sick kid whose fever keeps spiking an your worried this season sucks
@kala_elise, IDC she have no right to treat no kid that way that's a problem
