Did anyone stop breastfeeding because they felt like it was too much for them? Sometimes I get really frustrated when my son unlatches every two minutes and then starts getting mad because he's not eating. It makes me feel like I'm a bad mom but I just feel like I don't have the patience for it. Thinking maybe I should just pump and give him bottles or just go to formula.
Iv seen them at Walmart, try different positions when nursing too though it might help! Like both of you laying facing eachother like on a bed, that helped us till he got good at his latch because the bed supported his head (:
@bri28, @des_a_rayy @zaysmomma thank u ladies for the kind words. I'm not ready to give up completely. Dr did tell me about the nipper shields where do u purchase them?
I agree with @bri28 I'm still using my nipple shields because I had a flat nipple and he only was taking one so that one became bloody and hurt so bad. With the nipple shields I could literally nurse all day. There a plastic nipple (kind of like the top to a bottle) that you put over ur nipple. It has saved my life lmao
Exactly what @bri28 said keep pushing through because it does get easier! Iv been there in your shoes and it sucks but it will get better. Im a full time mommy, 40+ hrs a week and going on 10 months with 8 teeth and still breast feeding and its tiring and tough but I get through it lol I cosleep at night and feed well laying down in bed with him so I get to sleep while he eats, have you tried that? As bub gets older the latch will get better! (:
@momi2b4, have you tried a nipple shield for feeding? My nipples aren't always hard, he eats just fine, but a shield could help. And it's a little easier on those nipples as well
Patience ladies, patience! You know it takes your baby to get used to all these things, just like you're getting used to it. A baby 5 days old is just trying to figure out what's going on. I know it's frustrating, I get it. I'm BF my first and I'm going on 3 months now with my new baby. If the baby is hungry, they wanna eat. If baby wakes up at 2am, you would still have to go to the kitchen, make a bottle and all that, so I don't see where the issue is here. I'm not trying to sound mean, but I'm such a breastfeeding advocate, it hurts my heart to see that young ladies wanna give up because they're tired, or exhausted or plain just find the convenience of a bottle with formula much better. Give yourselves and baby a chance. It won't always be that hard. Am I exhausted - yes! Did I cry before - many times. But knowing that my little guy doesn't know any better and him giving me this special look when I feed him, it's all worth it. My baby hasn't had any formula yet and I don't plan on giving him any cause I have plenty of milk. Fed is best, that's true, whether it's breastmilk or formula. But think about all the benefits for you and your little baby. Give it a chance, that's all I'm asking ☺️ @wildtank @momi2b4
It takes more time to pump & feed. I had to do that. Took 30-60 mins to pump then you have to clean it all then feed your baby. You have to carry the pump everywhere. I did it for 4m wasn't easy still would be doing it if he still would take the breast milk. You can do it just takes a little bit more time.
yeah @wildtank my husband try to help lol I'm thinking about giving up but I'm not sure
@momi2b4, that's pretty weird. I've never had that happen, I just know he for whatever reason has trouble staying on some days and it is so hard.
oh my gosh at right now at night I'm giving him formula but during the day I been trying boob. then for some reason my nipple doesn't stay hard never had that happen
@momi2b4, yes! And I feel horrible for getting mad but when it's the 3rd he's woken me up at night and it's like 2 in the morning and im super exhausted I can't help but get mad. I've cried so many times because of it.
oh my gosh mommy I feel the same way! my son is 5 days old and in the same spot. he latches on but then moves and he gets off the boob and gets so mad. so then I get mad
I gave up because it was frustrating, exhausting, and painful. Don't feel like a bad mom or let anyone tell you that you're a bad mom for pumping and giving a bottle or formula feeding. You tried and that's awesome, girl! :)
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Why can't other mom's just be there for other mom's and work together and help each other not bash other mom's because when other mom's bash other mom's it makes us feel like we aren't doing a good job at least that's how I feel when I get bashed.
Hi

But since last two days am not having good feeling....I just feel something is wrong inside wid d kid...all my symptoms r too less
Morning sickness is gone....Metallic taste of my tounge is also less....and I feel pain in my abdoman twice or thrice which is very minor though
What should i do i am very confused
Already have gone through 5 scans because of changing gynec
Just feel that untill i hear the heartbeat or see my kid i wont b ok....got sleepless nights
I feel horrible because i dont want to be pregnant. I mean i was excited and everything when i found out. Mlre so shocked. But as time is going on, i just dont want to be pregnant. Is that an ok thing to say? Although i already love this little girl and thats mostly why i feel bad for feeling that way. Not sure if something is wrong with me or its just im over it now because i feel like this pregnancy is dragging on
I cannot do this pregnancy any more. Just about passed out in the shower and just so tired of feeling unwell. It's like I have had a hangover/sickness bug for 9 months and it's seriously getting old. Sat on my couch like a beached whale in a towel crying my heart out because I just want to feel better, just so frustrated now and just feel like I need to throw up 😭😭😭😭
At that age I felt the same way and than he got better I almost gave up but I'm glad I pushed through. Just try to hang in there. And if it's not still working than that's okay to do give up. It's what works for both of you.
