that is kinda strange unless his mom is talking to his kids and saying "your daddy" but calling him daddy? does she like call him that from another room, like am I understanding the context? its definitely different.

@ftm2babyc, no I think you're understanding what I'm saying. we'll be upstairs and she'll be downstairs, if she needs him to do something she won't call his name (which would be the appropriate thing to do) to get his attention, she'll call for him by saying "daddy". sometimes his kids won't even be there which makes it even more awkward for me!

@showersoverflowers, pet names are totally different lol. my mom has called me stinkys my whole life even up to this day. i think it's funny and so does my man so he calls me that too now...but his mom calls him daddy and I USED to call him daddy when we were having sex but now I'm like...do you think of your mom when I say it??? so now I stop saying it like I used to, it's definitely not the same 😭

I have a friend who calls two of her youngest kids daddy. Which I find so so weird but I don't know maybe it's just something they like?

My mother in law used to call my son daddy. Until her got old enough to tell her he's not her dad so stop calling him that. He's 4 now and will tell her stuff and that his name is Alejandro

@baby1004, I think that's a completely different situation seeing that your son is a child and I'm referring to a 27 yr old. still weird tho

@eegrnr, no I know it's different situation I was just saying it because it happens a lot. If you boyfriend knows it makes you uncomfortable he should ask his mom not to call him that around you.
