Ok so I really don't want to have an 8 to 9 pound baby by my due date. He already weighs almost 5 pounds and I have 8 weeks still go. Would it be wrong of me to ask about being induced so I can have him naturally like I want or go with the flow and risk a csection? My doctors are pushing for a csection though cuz of my size but I really don't want to have one.

8 or 9 pounds is doable even for small girls!! A girl I know who is normally maybe 120lbs just had a 11lb6oz baby 2 weeks ago, naturally, no drugs. Sometimes tiny girls do have big babies with no problems!!

I went to get an ultrasound when I was 37 weeks and they told me he was 6 pounds and at birth my baby would be 8 or 9 pounds.! Two of my friends are pregnant and they said that the doctors told them the same thing that my doctor told me! I feel like they tell everyone that because at that time they should be around 6 pounds average

My first son (that is lost) was 5lbs 9.4 ounces at 32 weeks so that's normal

I'm 5 foot and was pretty tiny before I had my son and he was 7 5.5 20 1/4 in long, with a 14.1 in head at birth! big ol dome😂 thank God for my epidural lol I have total faith you can do it momma best of luck!

keep in mind growth scans during the last trimester can be off by up to 2 lbs or more they told me at 37 weeks my daughter was 8 lbs. that if I carried to term which I couldn't due to preeclampsia, she would be 10+lbs. she was 6 lbs 2 oz. my best friends Mom gave birth naturally to a 12+ lb baby boy no medication. it's all doable but remember to never let your doctor's pressure you. it's your birth. not theirs. if there is no medically necessary reason for you to have a c section, I wouldn't advise it. my daughter was breech and my hospital doesn't do breech births. so I had her c section. I hated it. recovery was a witch with a capitol B. I passed out during my post open shower because it felt like my guts spilled out everywhere, I should have asked for a support belt but didn't. I reopened my incision once I got home. it was hell. If you can go natural. a c section is the second major surgery next to heart surgery.
