I have a question for mothers that have had a C-Section this year.... Did the doctor let you have skin to skin time with…

We did for a few moments but i was an emergency c section so they had to check his heart rate , they didnt even let his father cut his cord

My dr office let you choose the day. when you're having a planned c section.

@jermerica, my due date is July 6th but i want to have my C-section at 38wks so that would be june 22nd so I hope he agrees to that date

I am due June 25 I know it will be the week before that but I am going to ask my doctor when I go back in two weeks if I can go ahead and pick me date @jjjmommie421

Yea with my first I didn't want him right away though I was so tired

@karnamarie, thats what I was just thinking it wasnt an option when I had my other 2 boys but I will ask about it at my next doctors appointment and i also want a birthing room even though im having a C-section😕

Oh yes! as soon as the cord was cut (if you chose that) she was on my chest and they actually never took her off me until we where back in the room and I had fed her. She didn't even get washed off until hours later. Much better experience then with my first that was vaginally

They let me do skin to skin as they were taking me back to my room.

the hospital i work at does an hour of skin to skin and let's you attempt breastfeeding if you want before you even leave the Operating room.
