Is anyone else nearing the end of their pregnancy and starting to worry about how to survive on maternity pay 😪 we have savings but nothing spectacular and the worry of how I can afford all my monthly outgoings is starting to get to me, maybe it's pregnancy hormones because I wasn't worried when we were planning for the baby and felt confident about finances but now it's all I can think about!! After the first 6 weeks of 90% pay Statutory mat pay is only £500 odd a month 😪 I'm going to have to go back to work when baba is about 3-4 months old :-(
@megsssimo, I think we all think about it! But once they are here, you won't want to leave and work will be the last thing on your mind no matter how tight it is on the pocket! Best not to worry yourself tho, it's easier said than done! But even although I'm going to be a single parent, I plan on just taking every day as it comes and not worrying, happy mummy is a happy baby! Xxx
That's what everyone keeps saying, baby girl isn't even here yet and all I can think about is having to go back to work :-( @beccastirlingx xxx
@megsssimo, pregnancy hormones don't help either! But no doubt you'll do just fine! Don't think about going back to work either!!!! Enjoy time with your baby! Xxx
@han3816, @beccastirlingx @holliesinead I'm so glad im not alone!!Had a good long chat with my partner and a nice hot bubble bath and feel a lot more confident about everything now, who knows how I'll feel tomoro but we'll see lol always something to worry about xxx
I'm the same Hun, I've so many outgoing and im freaking out how I'm going to afford being off work I'm also not going back to being a nanny so need to start looking for a new job after about 12 weeks of having them :( OH earns decent amount but never relied on him and don't want to start now xxx
@megsssimo, I'm a single parent and I'm having to live of maternity allowance, it's gonna be really difficult but I'm sure you will be fine! Xx
I'm now starting to worry about this but was thinking of thou Facebook jobs selling things just for a bit extra xx
Yeah my mum and his mum are both retired so we have childcare sorted but I just can't imagine going back to work so early when the baby is still so young 😩 but im going to have to I just don't see any other way! It's unneeded stress isn't it, and childcare is soo expensive I hope you get something sorted to suit you and your Wee one 🙏🏻 xxx
my partner's the only one who works and I'm also worried about how were gonna afford everything, I'm looking for a job now but there's none around in my area that will fit in around my son's school Times 😔 if you have someone to look after baby whilst you work then it's worth it but I'd be losing more paying for child care so I'm better off not working x
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
School fees
Having an intense debate on Facebook about school fees for public school. I'm in the "stop whining about school fees and stop having kids if you can't afford them" camp and there is the other camp of "free school is a constitutional right! It's bull s*** we have to pay anything at all".
So My coworker does not get vaccinated for anything due to religious practices and she’s worried about our job making it mandatory since they discussed it earlier this week. It’s crazy how when vaccines even started or came about we were told it would be voluntary but now it’s mandatory and people need a verification card to go certain places. We even have certain states doing lottery drawings just to make people get it. people shouldn’t fear losing their jobs or having to go against their relig...
I really don’t think people get it. I got asked how many ultrasounds I was going to have this pregnancy. And to be honest it’s more than I would like to have. Dating scan was yesterday, NT scan is in three weeks and starting at 16 weeks I’ll have monthly ultrasounds to measure my Cervix. Apparently I’m ungrateful and lucky. 🙄 There is nothing lucky about having to constantly worry about how long you’ll stay pregnant for.
@beccastirlingx yeah definitely, ur so right! As long as baby is well looked after and happy and And healthy that's all that matters ☺️ need to start counting my blessings instead of worrying about everything lol xxx
