follow your instincts ladies! the day I went in to labor I was having some signs that I was really concerned about so I called my doctor. there were only nurses there that day so I had to talk to a nurse. This nurse said " we saw you yesterday sweetie you are not in active labor you're just having braxton hicks contractions, keep an eye on the bleeding.. if its still worrying you than you can go to the hospital but they probably won't do anything. I'll make you an appointment." so I started crying and with in 5 MINUTES the blood had gotten darker. So I was like I'm going to the hospital I don't care if they check and then send me home something doesn't feel right. I get up there and get checked I was still only 3cm dialated but I was STILL BLEEDING like a slight period. So after I get checked the doctor was like I want you to walk around for an hour to see if anything has changed. within 1 HOUR I went from a 3cm to a 6cm! the doctor came back and told me I was in active labor and couldn't leave.! I got hooked up to IVs and and got the epidural and everything and a couple hours later I went from 6cm to 8cm! labor was long (12:30pm- 5:35am.) pushing for 2 hours! finally at 5:35 am on march 31st I gave birth to my beautiful 8 pound 11 ounce baby boy😘 I knew to follow my instinct and I'm glad I did

That's crazy! I don't know what I would have done if I had to deal with that nurse
@shiles, isn't it that nurse was a bitch... maybe because of my age but she just shrugged off everything i had told her
How long did you go through labor? I went through 14 hours of labor when I had Oliver. Would have been longer if the doctors hadn’t given me meds to speed up the labor. I was given an epidural, my blood pressure went down to 80 and they had to give three epidural shots to get me stable again and they had to stop it for 20 minutes because the doctor was out at lunch. 🙄 so by the time I gave birth I felt everything
Ok ladies it's prodromal labor and I am 3cm and baby was kicking her as she was checking me so it's just a wait game
LABOR UPDATE: after 24 hours, I'm 3cm dilated and 80% effaced and I caught a fever so they gave me antibiotics. The doctor will check me again in a couple hours and I'm praying that I made progress past 4cm! We want this baby by midnight. Plz pray for me ladies! 😭 this is so tough! Epidural worked at first but not much anymore.. Even after another dose.
I had my little guy at 4:01 PM today. I got an epidural during hour 2 or 3. I was in labor for 9 and a half hours. Epidural lasted until the last 30-45 minutes, so they put a higher dose in and I didn't know I was 10CM I only felt the pressure in my bottom but I was so gassy and I thought it was gas pains. Nope. Went from 3CM to 10CM in less than 2 hours. I didn't tear but they did cut me. I literally didn't feel anything. But he looks like his mommy. He came on his due date
Got to the hospital at 4 am to start my pitocin, well.. I was put on the drip at 430 am , and was 4cm dilated and 80 percent effaced, an hour later. The nurse came in to check me, hours later, and I was at 6 cm. I got the epidural at 6cm.. But it didn't work for me, no more than 20 minutes later, I couldn't take the pain, I was screaming and crying.. And felt everything.. most terrible pain ever, I called for my nurse to come in and she checked me again, said I was ready to deliver, babys head ...
