so mothers who's already had babies. I have a good relationship with my mother-in-law and I'm wondering what are your thoughts of having your mother-in-law in the room with you when you're pushing a baby out my mom wants to be in the room with me and I'm still deciding whether or not I want her in there but if I decide to have her in there with me I was thinking about having my mother-in-law in there with me as well since this is her first grandchild. tell me what your thoughts are on this.
@whitneym, thank you, you definantly made my decision alot easier :)
Yes that's true! It would definitely bring you all together. Well invite them, and as I said you can always ask them to step out for a few minutes if you'd like some alone time
im not worried about hurting any ones feelings because they both are telling me its up to me with what i want. @angelmama12
@whitneym, he doesnt care and says hes fine with them both being in the room. he says if i allow my mother in the room that his mother should be allowed as well. which im actually quite happy he told me this because it is hard to get him to tell me how he feels about some stuff and it makes my decision easier plus i think it would be a great way for his mother and him to bond you know? and me and my mother to bond as well.
@gabbator95, yeah it would be a lot.... How does your boyfriend feel?
I'm not close to my mother in law AT ALL!!!! But with my 2nd child (her first grandchild) I was uncomfortable with having her in the room so I was going to have her wait right outside.... Well time came and they brought in 2 students to watch my delivery so I allowed her to be there as well and when it came down to it, you really don't care....
@gabbator95, I definitely understand how you're feeling. In my experience, it has been better to have less people in the room! Everyone is different of course, but I would suggest maybe if having too many people in the room is a concern (a very reasonable concern) then maybe don't have either of them in there and just explain why. I'm sure you may be worried about hurting feelings, but you being comfortable and stress free during labor is the number one priority!
@whitneym, thats how i felt at first since this is our first daughter/child. im just so confused on this. but then again if i allow them in the room they will only get to see the baby for a few minutes then they have to leave for the next two hours cause i want to me and ryan to bond with our daughter by ourselves without the baby feeling overwhelmed. so im still entirely unsure. we will still get that special alone bonding time just unsure how i feel about having three people including nurses and doctors in the room with me.
I'm close to my mil but I didn't have either mothers in the room anytime
Oh hmm well you can always ask them to step out at any point. I personally just had my boyfriend and myself in the room since he was our first child and I wanted it to be a special family moment. But if you're close to them then by all means include them :) @gabbator95
cause originally it was just going to be me and my boyfriend cuz this is our first child then my mom said she would love to be in the room with me when I give birth so then I told her I think about it and then the more I thought about it I realized this is my boyfriend's mother's first grandchild maybe she would like to be in the room as well so I'm not entirely sure because I haven't even decided if I want my mother in there as well my boyfriend says he doesn't mind his mother and my mother being in the room with us @whitneym @fluffiieemommiiee @angelmama12
I'm really close with my MIL too and she has been in the room with me every time, and will be with this one too. It's been just her and my husband when it came time to push.
its up to you on who Eva you want in there with you.its a special thing(: I had my mom n older sister😇 and of course my husband😍
I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Whatever you feel comfortable with go for it! @gabbator95
Will your Mom be in the delivery room?
My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
serious question ; How do you feel about having your mother-in-law in the room when you give birth? my moms gonna be there, and my husband. He never said he wanted his mom there, but, I thought that it would be nice to have her there as his support not just mine. thoughts???
😠 while talking to my mother in law on the phone, my toddler decided to shove her hand in the painting I was making for my son. My mother in law thought this was pretty funny, she laughed several times.
Thinking she is off her meds!
What's wrong with a Bumbo?
I am visiting my in-laws for Mothers Day and I brought my daughters Bumbo along for the trip. Well my in-laws just thought it was the coolest thing. DH's cousin is pregnant and her mom asks her, "did you see the baby's Bumbo chair?" and she snaps "yes!", and her mom asks "do you want one for the baby?" and she goes "NO! I will never use one of those for my child!" and then no one said anything else about it.
@gabbator95, you're welcome:)
