its not baby related , but my grandpa is in the hostpital and my mom and i go up there everyday sometimes we stay until really late, my mom goes there and when he first got in there , she stayed up there with him dad and night ..

I think it depends on the circumstances. Like, I told the nicu staff when I would go home to visit my other son and my husband but out of his 50 day stay in the nicu I was there 44-45 days for at least 8 hours a day. I saw babies who never got visitors and it made me so freaking sad. I wish I could have cuddled with those babies. But anyway, as long as you make an effort to be there and tell the staff if you won't be there I don't think they have reasons to call CPS. I remember when my 29 weeker was already out of the hospital he had a doctor appointment that I tried cancelling (I live where it snows, his doctor appointment was 2 hours away where they don't get snow) and when I tried cancelling they threatened to call CPS on me, but the time in the nicu it was never threatened.

I use to stay by my sons side in the nicu. I would go up every three hrs at night for feeds once he started breast feeding the docs where always happy because i never missed rounds and i was always apart of their conversations and asking questions.

I know I seen babies that's have no visitors now and I feel so bad. I cannot leave my daughter like that I feel so bad. I'm gonna be here atleast 2 months with her I refuse to go. @beckahhkathleen @kimberlyyyy

See that hurts like i couldn't imagine not being by my sons side during that time. I saw babies who say their moms and dads once a week or maybe twice.

when my daughter spent 4 weeks in nicu they told me the first day if I Dont show or call at least they have to report it to CPS but that didn't matter to me because I was there from 7am to 7pm never missed a feeding and when I went home for the night I called 2am , 4 am I didn't care they asked me if I ever got any rest I just couldn't knowing she wasn't with me

see nobody told me that. not like it would matter because just like you i was losing sleep to go there literally to watch my baby sleep. there was a baby in there they were complaining about his mother cone to find out it is my daughters cousin on her dad's side. when they're ready for you to pick up that baby they mean it. @motheroftwojk

right I don't see how parents could even leave there child and not check on them at least the staff started calling me and my daughter by first name because they saw me do much lol @aniyahsmommy0403 but I pray she continues to progress daily I definitely understand what your going through

I feel u me and my bd saw our baby everyday till she got out. So ain't nun wrong with seeing your baby when u want too but believe me things will get better @aniyahsmommy0403
