Need some experienced mommy advice. Okay so since my son was born I've never let him cry himself to sleep or even cry for two minutes.. But now he's 2 months and the pediatrician says I should / need to let him cry himself to sleep because he wakes up every 2 hours for feeding. Now my question is anyone let there babies cry ? And did it work 😔 as was it worth it 😪 I don't want to torture him . But I would like some sleep
I wouldn't let him cry at 2 months. Most say to not start that before 4-6 months. I didnt have the heart until he was 9 months :)
Maybe try a pacifier instead of a bottle? I'm sure he's just doing it for comfort so it should work in place of the bottle!
@dayanis, my pediatrician suggested it but I refused to. She also suggested at 4 months I should let him cry. He used to get so fussy but now it has subsided and he goes down without any problems. He gives me 4 hours sleep initially then wakes every 2 hours thereafter because I'm exclusively breastfeeding. So it depends on you and the baby.
Make your own breakfast!
At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.
My 1yr old got up crying. I just let him cry himself to sleep. I refuse to rock him so now he rocks himself to sleep. Gotta learn someday. .
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
what are you guys thoughts on letting your baby cry...my baby goes to sleep on me but once I put him down he crys and wakes up I don't like letting him cry like that so I pick him back up. he will be a month old in 2 days.
@melli776, thank you ! Yes I feel the same way I don't have the heart BUT I wish I knew how to make him sleep for longer stretches of time at night. Any tips.
