if someone else is throwing you a babyshower, what or how much do you put in for it?

I would just ask to see if you can help or if you need help to pitch in money. I had someone throw me one and I had very little to do.

I think generally you don't have to put in any money but I would ask just to offer but it's not part of the norm @heavensent3

really cus so far I've put in about 270 cus she told me to give her the money for the food and to buy the plates and the spoons and today she called me to order the cake for the babyshower.. and I'm thinking wow i don't think i have enough money to buy my outfit now.....@expectingfirstrainbow, @rose.grossnickle

I threw a baby shower for a friend and I paid for everything. Her mother in law made food for her so I didn't have to worry about that... I think maybe you should have planned it yourself because you can't offer to do something for someone and expect them to pay... The purpose of a shower is to keep money in your pockets for your new baby.

@ready4mommydaughtermoments, i was thinking the same thing too i might as well should of threw it myself because i basically bought the main things like the food and cake and I'm even working on some decorations right now and idk I've been feeling really stressed about it that I'm not even excited about it anymore...

When is your shower?... More than likely she hasn't bought the food yet if it's still weeks away. You should get the money back and start over with planning.... A shower isn't very tough to plan as long as you know how many people you're planning for.

Don't be discouraged though, keep your head up. I can message you ideas to throw a shower within that 270 you were going to spend on food.
