My doctor gave me cough syrup that's category c for pregnancy which means they have no information of it hurting humans and it's safe on animals but I'm scared as ever to take it. I've been terrified of medicine and the affects it could have my whole pregnancy, but I really want to feel better. 😭

what about robitussin or Vicks 44/Vicks rub?

My lost the dr. gave me had robitussin dm on it. He said not to take the other kind though, only the dm.

Category C is where they don't have much information on it. There have been few studies and no confirmations to correlation between harm to mother/baby. That's why they don't suggest those meds unless necessary. My depression/anxiety meds are C. They said I could take it if I needed, but warned me that is C. X is where it's definitely not safe for baby.
