cervidil only softens and ripens the cervix before dilation the only thing that brings on contractions is pitocin. they don't start that until cervidil has gotten the cervix ready to dialate

when they are inducing you, especially early they like to take their time and it's better for you and your baby too, I've been induced with all of my kids that's the only reason I know. Good luck!

Oh gosh really. Please give me more information in regards to induction! What exactly should I expect these 12 hours that cervidel is in me? @momof5222
