My 7 month old has been constipated and hasn't pooped in like 2 days. Today she pooped a little bit it was harder than usual & I noticed her butt was bleeding. I googled and all I could find was blood in poop..? Is this something bad or is it just because it was hard?

My pediatrician said my daughter could have a little miralax in her bottles to help her go. Straight apple, prune, or pear juice too

The blood could be from her trying and tearing the rectum some (I know tmi) I used to get really bad constipation during breastfeeding so I know that hurts

My doc told me to put 1 ounce of prune juice mixed with formula or water in a bottle for my son and it helped him when he was a baby

@ciaramarie, call her Dr. my 2yr old used to have problems pooping. her Dr told me about enemas for babies

@s_n_tmommy, I'm going to call in the morning & see if they think she needs seen or what I should give her. I have prunes (like in baby food form) I could always give that to her!
