So me and baby are fine.. Doc sent me home with contractions 3 min apart. She said basically she doesn't want to do a vaginal delivery. Having a c section is the last thing I ever thought of. He's not huge yet.. I have very wide hips.. She is just more comfortable with a c section.. There's no medical reason to go to have a c section.. So upset

I'm a FTM mom as well. No one has a right to force you to do anything. The best thing my doctor told me was she's here to assist me and will only interfere if my child or me are at risk. Other than that she'll keep it as natural as I would like. So I say get another opinion.

hmmm yeah try to walk and try going into labor on your own. they would only do a c-section if u have an emergency.. when i dilated 1cm my doctor told me i still had a while and to not expect the baby on my actual due date and i was about 39 weeks along when they told me that.....my water broke at 6cm.

Were you full term? I'm preterm still and wonder if that's why she's wanting a c section.. He's bigger than most babies his age.. He's in the 95th precentiall

No girl tell her no if you don't have an emergency to have a c-section then you shouldn't have one I would talk to the another doctor and see what they say

Unless there is an emergency or medical necessity, your birth is your choice. Too many doctors manipulate women into delivering the way that's convenient for them. You're delivering YOUR baby. Hospitals should feel honored, not take advantage of women who don't know any different. Because naturally we trust the doctors are planning what's in our best interest but it seems to be the other way around. I would say if you keep contracting go back and request to see another doctor on duty. Don't be afraid to be firm. Do what's best for you and that baby. No one wants a c section if it's not needed.

I'm right Along with y'all! My son is large for 32 weeks. 5-6 pounds and 19 inches long. Very healthy and active. My dr just apparently prefers fashion delivery and chooses to schedule all her deliveries.. @andiryan93 @rochelleyayy

Don't let her force you to have a c section. Just because she doesn't want to delivery your baby vaginally doesn't give her any right to force you to have a c section. Unless there's a medical reason than just have a vaginal delivery.

If there's no medical reason for a c section why would they push for it? Sounds odd to me.. Usually doctors prefer you to deliver naturally. Is there any way to get another doctors opinion? If your contractions are so close together and you start going into active labor to have your baby vaginally what is the doctor going to do? Emergency surgery? Sounds ridiculous. I'm sorry.

Forgive me if this offends anyone but is it just me or does it seem like doctors are so quick to jump to c-sections these days? Even my midwife at 30 weeks said if my baby doesn’t turn (he’s transverse) I’ll have to have a c-section. Which of course put so many thoughts in my mind that I didn’t necessarily need because I still have ten weeks. I just don’t get it I guess. Technically we can go to 42 weeks.
