Can newborns have nightmares? My daughter is almost 7 weeks old and sometimes she wakes up from a dead sleep screaming and she only calms down when you pick her up and rock her for a while... She's never done it until this past week since we moved back to my moms house. Could she be missing daddy or her old room?

My son use to do that..he'd cry so much I use to think he was in pain...some babies scare themselves awake with their arms..do u swaddled your baby? After I was told that I swaddled him and he didn't wake up crying like that anymore

Astrid screams and cried in her sleep. We found waking her up is the best way to deal with it. I know she doesn't understand is at 6 weeks old but tell her she's not allowed to cry in her sleep then wake her up by talking to her, moving her around, and giving her kids.

No nightmares. At this age they learn a lot of new highs every day. Each Abby takes it in differently and they can/will process some things while they're sleeping.
