Just got off the phone with the placenta encapsulation service and it's going to be $305 for everything which seems a bit high to me…

I paid $150 that was in northern Colorado. That's seems quite expensive have you tried searching for someone else that can do it for a lower price.

@bjeff, what if you froze it and took it to a doula after the fact?

@simonelevien, completely understand!! we aren't certain if we will do ours by ourselves or not but that is unfortunately are only option. sometimes I wished I lived in a bigger city and I wouldn't have these problems

@bjeff, I'm nervous about timing and doing it the right way and also messing up its kind of a one shot thing. I also don't want to buy equipment I'm never going to use again.

Have you looked into doing it yourself?! I've contacted over 8 doulas and was wanting to get one who does placenta encapsulation but it looks like that's a no go for us :( we live in a small town and can't find one to commit to us at all. we have since looked into encapsulating it ourselves!
