I am having a hard time choosing between the mirena and implanon what did you guys like better and side effects?
I'm sorry but neither. lol. I told my doctor put me on the pill lol. they made me gain a hidious amount of weight and I hasmd a period for 2/3 months straight nonstop. it was horrible. but I also have heard good experience from them so don't let me bring it down lol. every woman is different lol
the mirana, it got stuck in my cervix, so I got the implant @caitbugg7 sorry lol I've had back to back fails 😂
@caitbugg7, I could feel little twinges if I moved a certain way. Like a little pop, and I would check in the shower every so often. You aren't supposed to really feel anything and when it starting falling I could feel the string coming through around my cervix. Wasn't painful but If it's not in there correctly it doesn't work as birth control.
Mirena worked great for me, after 3 years it started to slip out of place. No side effects that bothered me other than sporting here and there at first and the discomfort when u get iy
@caitbugg7, I never gained weight with the mine either. I didn't feel crazy either. only side effect was that I needed mine out relief then they say to
I have the implant and absolutely hate it. worst birth control ever made, in my opinion. the weight gain is horrible, I haven't stopped bleeding since I got it. the pregnancy symptoms are never ending (its a side effect) my hair has started falling out and the mood swings don't stop.
They say the shelf life is 7 years but I had mine taken out after 5. I started feeling it a little bit. but everyone's shelf life, so to speak is different lol. there are lots of people that will scare the scrap out of you with the stories but I loved mine
My best friend has had a lot of issues with the mirena; including her hubby can feel it during sex, she got pregnant and had a miscarriage while it was in, and now can't get pregnant now that it's out. And many more.
