How do you feel about tickling children? Not in a sick way, in a playful way. I personally remember hating it as a kid. Now as an adult, my husband understands that he can't tickle me if he wants me to trust him. I am thinking about instating a no tickle rule for my child. Do you think that is being overprotective/helicopter mom? Have you done something similar? Serious input please.
I know some people in my childhood took it too far. They just thought it was soooo cuuute that I said, "Leave alone me!" and knew that I said it when I was tickled. Honestly I am a little mad thinking about it now.
@bekka1071, thanks. I feel like a tiny bit here and there is one thing, but if they clearly hate it and I need to tell someone to stop more than once, they will have to feel the wrath of the Mama Bear. :)
my baby is a month old and when I found out that he didnt like to be tickled I told everyone to knock it off. just read babys cues and you'll know whats best. :)
My biggest issue is that laughter is a reflex from the tickling. I don't want people (honestly, I am worried about my FIL going too far) thinking that baby is enjoying it. @tamayobaby I feel kinda crazy in this, but I can't explain how much I hate it.
yeah, its rude, just because they're little a defenceless doesnt mean to keep going. it means stop.
