I didn't have the cramps and tightening until days after for a few weeks. Have you tried changing positions? Sometimes that helps even out the medication

I had three with my daughter cause he kept missing doesn't hurt but not guaranteed to work

I already have the epidural it just every time I push to get another dose my back tightens and cramps really bad @uhohitskyra I was just wondering if that is normal

The epidural medicine to numb the back I've seen best described as a bee sting. That's about it. It's uncomfortable to lay in that position and being completely still during contractions. It startled me when they first pricked me with the numbing part but after that it was simple. It's a very strange feeling and can level you pretty cold and they do give you a catheter but only after you are good and numb.
