As far as eating goes, it really shouldn't make huge difference unless maybe you ate a high fat meal RIGHT before going. Some doctors have preferences though so it is always good to ask :)

I didn't know the rules if it was fasting or not. My apt was at 1015 and I didn't eat I just had water in the morning but when I got called I went in the room and she asked for my insurance card and my paperwork/script. Then she gave me the Orange drink so I drank that down then I went in a room and watched tv for an hr then she came and got me and got the blood work. Really easy, just the waiting sucked.
