So I have this app that just says my babies progress what baby should/could be doing ect. Today it says my baby may be ready for small finger foods...when did you ladies first give your baby reg food? And what did you start with?? My baby is 7 months old.

I based mine on teeth. I think we gave my son puffs first though since they melt in their mouth.

my daughter didn't get teeth until 9 months but around 7 months we gave her gerber puff...the melt fast. her pediatrician at 6 months said we could give her soft table foods at 6 months but I wasn't comfortable yet. after the puffs we did stage 3 baby food that had soft chunks in it. by 8 months she was eating soft table foods and wouldn't eat baby food anymore.

@mah_mammi, @eskawho I should of mentioned she does have her two bottom teeth.

Ok, well once my son got teeth we gave him eggs and mashed tators. So far that's it besides his baby food and puffs.
