has anyone else heard that it's bad to have an ultrasound unless it's necessary ??

@daylenerebecca, no that's a myth I have had.. 6! And I'm 33 weeks

@candacelouise, that's what I thought too. ppl keep telling me it's bad . my chiro dr told me it's bad for the baby too.

It isn't good for the baby to have too many it's an x Ray who knows what it does to their fragile little bodies... Especially early in the pregnancy

it's not true I've had 8/9 and I'm 25 weeks

I've had more then 6 Due to having lupus If it was so bad my OB wouldn't be doing them..

@daylenerebecca, it is no where near the same as an x ray. Sono are not the same! I promise. Ask your doctor

nah. I have had so many my specialist has them done every 2 to 4 weeks since I was 23 weeks. before that i had had 3. I think by the end of this pregnancy I will of had 10.

That's what my boss keeps telling me too but then again it if was so bad OB's wouldn't recommend them. Ive had 4 now. I think there fine nothing to worry about.

I was told later in pregnancy it affects the brain. but who knows

Ultrasounds have a lot of radiation thats why they say its bad to keep getting ultrasounds and why you shouldn't get any if you don't need them.

I thought they use sound waves ??
