any advice for breastfeeding? not quite there yet but I know it can be a struggle & frustrating so I'm really keeping my mindset on it.. any unexpected things you ladies experienced those first couple weeks?
I'm not trying to be a negative, but if for some reason you can't, don't beat yourself up. I had my heart set on it. I struggled with it for a good week. I was in so much pain I cried when he started crying cause he was hungry. I knew the pain was coming. I even tried pumping but could not keep up with my son. on top of that I had major depression. I felt so discouraged and bawled my eyes out when I bought his first can of formula. he's almost 4 months now and last month I took him to his doctor to see why he was rejecting his bottle after I burped him (acid reflux) but then she tells me he's severely tongue tied and had me get his tongue clipped. if she would've noticed that in the hospital when she was on call there, I'm positive a better latch would've helped me continue and not be in so much pain... it breaks me heart knowing what could've been. but he's growing healthy as can be and is in the 90th percentile for his length and weight so I can't be too upset! if you go through what I did, don't be afraid to get on depression meds. they're safe for baby and help a ton. good luck!!
@bre_bresee, I had to use a nipple shield the whole seven months. Unfortunately my nipples weren't big enough for my son to latch on. It ended up being awesome when he started teething and trying to bite.
@bwitmer, yeah I understand that's why I was telling my mom and boyfriend to not let me give up easily! lol as for the rest of my family they all formula fed so that's one less thing I have to worry about thankfully I just need to figure out what works best for both me & her when the time comes :) thank you!
@bre_bresee, it's easy to say now. But remember how flustered you were during your first trimester due to all of the hormones? Unless you had it easy. But after giving birth your hormones are all over the place. You just have to stay calm. As the nurses for advice. And I'm not sure how your family is but don't let them overwhelm you with what worked for them. Each baby is different
okay definitely will! @emily18234 & yes that's what I hear @bwitmer so I'm really just gonna keep focused and remember to breathe and relax! lol
Just don't let yourself get frustrated! I did it for seven months. I remember being very overwhelmed at first. But I just kept on trying. Stay calm 😊
utilize the lactation Consultants at the hospital! if the latch seems impossible, try a nipple shield

A Statement from Mom.Life:
Hey everyone!
Last night, a new user began messaging our moms asking for private pictures of toddlers and young children. This is obviously unacceptable behavior, and the account was banned immediately. Although thankfully extremely rare on Mom.Life, several users were understandably upset by this, so we wanted to clarify a few things:
First off, Mom.Life has an absolute zero tolerance policy for child abuse and those who would prey on children. We strive to ...
need suggestions....
So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.

Religion Conspiracy/Theory
**This is not to bash peoples religion and beliefs but to talk about our own theories and ideas** I would like to discuss a certain topic that came to mind after talking to my SO. I know some of you ladies like a good conspiracy talk so i would like to have a good discussion and hear thoughts of others. So back story my SO friends got very offended when he mentioned not believing in god or religion and it got me thinking. Is religion a failing form of goverment cont...
