Okay, I have a question, who else has been through preterm labor ? That was 80% thinned and 1 cm. or dilated and thinned at all. Could they stop them? Did you get to go home?
@breannaedwards_, have thru done anything to stop the contractions? They gave me an IV of Magnesium Sulfate and a couple shots of steroids for babies lungs. That worked for me, but I think a lot depends on how determined baby is to come. The good news is even at 27 weeks they said my little guy had a great chance at survival, and you're even farther than that, so your little should be pretty safe. I think when I was in the hospital they said they had about a 90ish% rate of being able to stop contractions when the mother was less than 3cm dilated.
How concerned Should I be?@mrssarahbeth @chrissytee @payitoffnow @ashley07
I was 3cm and 80% and they were able to stop it when I went into preterm labor
I was just in the hospital for this yesterday at 36 weeks. I was having frequent contractions so they gave me Procardia. They also sent me home with some. I'm supposed to take them 2-4 times daily.
So hopefully you're like me, where you dilate like that but then stop! That would be awesome. BUT if you're not, I know it doesn't help to hear this at all, but at least you're far enough along.. Our bodies do some pretty crazy things during pregnancy, I couldn't tell you why I started to dilate like that & why I stopped & why I've stayed at a 1 for almost 8 weeks. Pregnancy is an amazing thing with no solid answers, but I pray that your little gets all the baking time it needs & that you're in good hands with you're doctors
I understand they think I've gone into preterm labor
@shylaremmelts, that's not my concern.. Her lungs Aren't develop yet . If I have her now I won't be able to take her home
@chrissytee, yes, they said within the next two weeks she could be here
I was in the hospital for pre-term labor at 27 weeks, 1.5cm dilated and 50% effaced. They were able to stop it after 48 hours. I'm 34 weeks tomorrow and haven't had any other issues, my doctor thinks I'll make it to full term but I do go in for checkups more often than normal and have had a number or ultrasounds to check the length and height and my cervix.
I think you'll be okay because of how far along you are
I was 1 cm at 33 weeks, 5 cm 50% at 35 weeks, 6cm 70% last week. my doctor is checking me again tomorrow. he reduced my work hours originally and then took me off work last week. nothing else, just sent me home. I'm 37 weeks now so he may deliver me after checking tomorrow if it's almost complete.
Did they do the swab to check for preterm labor..? Was it positive?
I had my first set of contractions at 30 weeks & was 1cm & 50% thinned out. I'm almost 38 weeks now, almost at 2cm & about 80% thinned out
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
I wish my hair was thin . I have thick wavy hair.

35 weeks 4 days, baby's heartrate was 131, and my fluid level is at a 20 now. I've gained 2 pounds over the last week, I'm now 136, yayy.. belly was measuring 34 weeks, but baby is now in 10 percentile. Had to get my strep test done today also. I'm 1 centimeter dilated and he said my cervix is super soft and thin. He will be inducing labor at 38 weeks, but told me that if I starting having contractions 7 minutes apart, for 2 hours straight to go ahead and check myself into labor and delivery and...

For those who have been following me on my posts about me having pain on one side &’ extremely bleeding , well I have more to add. I know your wondering why I haven’t been to the clinic or hospital but that’s what I will be talking about now. 😒
Day 1 &’ day 2, I was gushing blood as if it was my water breaking (blood clots included) some where 2-5 centimeters thin, others were 5 inches thick)! It was extremely heavy! Day 3, (same size clots).
I was still cramping bad, strong headaches, not ...

Everyone hypes you up about how beautiful and lush your hair is or is going to be during pregnancy, but no one prepares you for how much hair loss you’ll experience after baby. This isn’t even all of it. Clumps went down the drain as well. My hair is already thin as hell as it is. Seeing my hair come out like this has me in literal tears. I hate it.
If you trust the Drs and nurses then you shouldn't be concerned at all but as a mommy I understand it's hard not to be concerned just take things easy and relax everything will be fine
