Seen a huge uproar on facebook about women not letting their sons have their nails painted after a momma painted her boys nails, let him have a baby doll and a pram ect, and they wonder why people grow up being so judgemental😩
They just kids man. My son plays with a pram as its his older sisters. I'm not gonna stop him. He's into cars too. They will grow out of it as they get older.
Just saw this...makes me livid. This also makes a child revert back into themselves, teaches them they can't be the person they want to be because media says so. And we wonder why men don't feel they can talk about there feelings and be the person they really are by showing senstiviity, care etc etc it's because we've already taught the child that's this is the apparent correct way to be, the correct way to act for your gender. And this is the world we live in. Grrrrr 😠 xxx
My mum was laughing with me about how the only thing I wanted to do when I was little was tie shoe laces from my light and swing action men off them😂 @zaralee71, don't remember anyone telling me I couldn't do it, should be the same for boys xx
completely agree @darciepenny some people are so silly. Jayden used to love walking around with a handbag and high heels (again he didn't get it from me as I don't wear them) and I just saw it as fun for him. I feel sorry for children who are not allowed to play with what they want because the parents see it as wrong. When I was a child I played with cars and action men, I doubt people would be bothered by that xx
I just don't understand where it comes from @zaralee71, saw a photo of a little boy who wanted to dress as elsa for a fancy dress party and everyone was going mad over it, I don't understand who made all these things just for girls/boys, they're just kids, if they're happy we should all be happy, there are children out there who don't get any presents and would be more than happy with a dolly or a pram to play with and parents are arguing over who should play with what, ridiculous xxx
people just need to let kids be kids @winterbaby95 @darciepenny Jayden's favourite colour used to be pink, no idea why because I'm not at all girly. He got me to buy him pink pumps, and pink tops. I remember once he made a hole in his favourite pink tshirt, he cried his little heart out so I had to buy him a new one lol he also had a little teddy that wore a flowery dress with a pink cuddle blanket that was his favourite. When we moved to our second flat one of the bedrooms was pink from the previous tenant and he refused to let me paint it. A colour is just a colour! He is now very much into boys things but I wouldn't bat an eyelid if he wanted 'girly' things xx
@winterbaby95, @zaralee71, @emmaclark, exactly. I don't know why they're labeled even as kids, vincent has a pink toy on his car seat/pram and im forever getting asked why I don't take it off and get a blue one, I didn't realise he wasn't allowed to have something pink? He's 2 months old, am I in the wrong here? They're going to grow up being dads one day, my nephew feeds his dolly with his 'boob milk' when I feed vincent, (he does know boys don't make milk) but he does like to pretend, I think it's amazing, knowing how supportive he will be one day. Kids are kids, painting nails is fun!xx
I painted jayden's toe nails for him the other day, he loved it! Said he looked fabulous! haha. He also had a pram and a baby when he was younger. William currently has two dolls that he loves and I plan on getting him a pram and another doll for Christmas because he loves them. I don't see what the problem is, why the hell shouldn't they have them? some people are just ridiculous aren't they? xx
@darciepenny Exactly! If I had a son..He could do whatever he likes! The people that have a problem with it....are most likely homophobic etc! It annoys me! Yet they don't bat an eye lid when girls want to play with cars...mud...etc...You get what I'm saying? X
this really annoys me, children should be able to choose what makes them happy, without it being labelled as 'for boys' or 'for girls'. it's so sad😞 x
Bugs me so much @winterbaby95, if my little boy wants to paint his nails or have a doll he bloody well can x
I agree @suzie31 xx
